[edit] Information

Tim Marlow discusses art, religion, and the environment with Gilbert Proesch and George Passmore (known collectively as Gilbert & George). The pair made a name for themselves in the early 1970s as performance artists (they adopted the term ‘living sculptures’, insisting that everything they do in their everyday lives is art), but were later known for their large scale photo-montages which often contained shocking and controversial images. In this fascinating documentary--shot at the Tate Modern--they reveal how it feels to be ostracized by the art community and the media, as they continue to push the boundaries of art, society, good taste, and decency.
