[edit] Information
More than 40 years ago, Britain experienced the whitest Christmas of the 20th century, with over half the country blanketed in snow. This programme tells the story of this spectacular weather event. While children revelled in time off school, sledging, having snowball fights and building snowmen, adults struggled to get to work, and farmers' livelihoods were devastated. Featuring rarely seen archive footage and celebrity anecdotes.
